Places to visit in Manila Philippines


I will start with the capital and i will present you some important places to visit in Manila Philippines. Manila its a part of Luzon Island and is situated on eastern shores of Manila Bay and in the east of South China Sea . Is the center cultural and economy of Philippines. Manila is a very interesting city cause he is part of old poor city but also the new and modern city , this capital has a great history and you really must come and visit it. I will start to put 3 pictures to see this modern city from big ensemble.

So what can you visit in Manila: 

1. Rizal Shrine and Fort Santiago Manila

The Rizal Shrine is a museum in Manila build in 1953 in the memory of Dr. José  Rizal, a filipino nationalist and polymath born in 19 June 1861 and died on 30 December 1896. The Fort Santiago was build to serve as barracks for spanish artillery in the period of colonization of Spain. The fort and museum are situated at Intramurors Manila.

2. Rizal Park Manila


The Rizal Park is also built in the honor of Dr. José  Rizal and is a historical urban park a very good place for a walk at fresh air and see the beauty of park or the monument built here . Location is on Roxas Boulevard Metro Manila and because is a part of old city this park is very visited by tourists.

It is an historical walled place cause that The Intramuros Manila have the name of Walled City and is a part of old Manila Philippines. This wall was meant to protect spanish people from invaders during the 16th century and you really need to visit it to se the beauties and the cultural importance of this old city.

4. Malacanang Palace Manila Philippines

 

This palace was built in 1750 by Luis Rocha and in the present is the official residence for president of Philippines. Malacanang Palace Manila is a very impressive large building  with ten main halls and in terms of history this palace was also occupied by spanish and later by americans before come a filipino president. The halls are: entrance hall, heroes hall with paintings of filipino heroes from Philippine war, grand staircase, reception hall, rizal ceremonial hall, state dining room, presidential study, music room, private quarters, kalayaan hall, presidential museum and library, new executive building, mabini hall, bonifacio hall. The palace have also a park and a guesthouse Bahay Pagbago.
Location of Palace is on JP Laurel Street San Miguel Manila.

5. Manila Baywalk

The Manila Baywalk is one of attractions of Manila Philippines a 2 km strech seaside promenade right to Manila Bay between U.S. Embassy and the Cultural Center of the Philippines. This promenade is full with restaurants, bars, terraces cafes and you can see people selling all kind of things like ballons or candy for kids. During the night you can make a walk with your soul mate trough the wonderful lights or take a ride with the chaise as you may see it in the images.

Binondo Manila is very popular during the chinese new year cause this part of Manila it is also called the Chinatown of Philippines. As a short history Binondo was a settlement for chinese immigrants during the spanish colonization. You really should see this part of Manila , to see the colors wich surrounds you are magnificent and the food is really tasty.

Divisoria Market is a the biggest market from Manila where you find malls and you can make shoppings with low costs. Here you can find almost everything you want to buy and people just never stop come and full this commercial street. So if you just want go to market just buy some fruits or vegetables or if you want to buy your girlfriend a nice gift here is the place you should be.

8. Star City Manila Philippines



Welcome to Star City the land of fun situated in Street Vicente Sotto Manila, a place where children or not everyone have his moment to forget everything and enjoy the happiness wich this place offer them by going to Pirate Adventures or if is fearless to try a real challenge: the big carousel and this is just 2 of the various pleasures that this place from Manila can share.

Known also as Manila Cathedral is one of the most famous cathedrals from Asia located in Intramuros Manila . History of this church stay from 16th century when was known as church of Manila wich was established in 1571 by a secular priest Fray Juan Vivero. During hard times and wars Manila Metropolitan Cathedral were damaged many times but was rebuild and finished in 1958.

This is the Minor Basilica Church of Manila and represent the house of Black Nazarene and filipino people built and belive the Black Nazarene and Jesus Christ statue are making miracles. Accordint to the photos you see the beauty of this church construction and arhitecture.

11. National Museum




National Museum is a multi-branch museum: ethnographic, archaeological, anthropological and visual art collection. National Museum has a lot of artefacts like Manunggul Jar, treasures of San Diego, Japanese Katana or national cultural treasures and paintings like the portret of Jose Rizal.



12. Coconut Palace Manila

Known as filipino's home the Coconut Palace was the residence and workplace for Vice President of Philippines  Jejomar Binay. The Palace is located on the campus of the Cultural Center of Philippines and is an amazing building and looks very romantic because before the vice president the palace was meant for weedings reception. In the main Lobby you can see a lots of paintings and very beautiful arhitecture of tables and chandelier made from coconut shells. The construction of Coconut Palace was finished in 1978 and renovated in 2010.

13. Plaza Rajah Sulayman

Plaza Rajah Sulayman have location in Malate, Manila. Is a public square known also as Rajah Sulayman Park wich have in the middle a huge statue of Rajah Sulayman III (1558-1575) a ruler and the last king of Manila along with Rajah Matanda and Lakan Banaw Dula . He had fight against spanish during the colonization of Philippines in 16th century.
In present this park is very populated and during the night you can see the beautiful light show installed on the fountain wich takes part of Plaza Rajah Sulayman.
